Even the imagination of this moment gives us the goosebumps, think of the moment when you will really encounter this situation!

We are humans and we all make mistakes at one and the other point and these mistakes make us believe in learning! Learning How to recover deleted photos from android phones is one such article which turns out as a lifesaver when any such situation occurs! let’s get started with the guide!

How to Restore Deleted Photos From Android Phones:

Once your photos are deleted from Android phones, it’s not 100% guaranteed that they will be recovered completely. But there are good chances that they will be recovered. And when it comes to our photos, we never like taking risks. So why to make a delay?? Let’s get started and learn the different ways to recover deleted pictures!

Step 1. In order to recover deleted photos, videos, and other important data, we need to download a phone recovery software called Android Data Recovery. Download the installer file from the link given, save it on your computer and launch it. On doing that, you will see the following screen on your computer.

how to recover deleted photos

Now you need to connect your phone to your PC as per the on-screen instructions!

Step 2. When the phone is connected successfully, you will require having USB debugging enabled on your android phone. If it’s already not done, enable it. Depending upon the different android versions, this process may change.

Here’s how to enable USB debugging in various android versions.

Version 2.3 or earlier

Settings>> Applications >> Development >> USB debugging (check this option to enable it)

Android version 3.0 to 4.1

Settings >> Developer options >> USB debugging (Check the option)

Android 4.2 or later

Settings >> About Phone >> Build number (Tap build number option multiple times until it unlocks the ‘under developer mode’) >>  Back to Settings >> Developer options >> USB debugging (check on this option)

Step 3. Once you are done with the above two steps, you will be asked to select the type of data you want to recover. Since our demand is to recover photos, we will check the Gallary option. You can select videos, messages, and all the options if they have been lost and you want them to recover.

Once done, click Next to proceed further.

Step 4. When clicking Next, data recovery software will begin analyzing your phone for data recovery options. If this analysis fails, you will see the Retry button instead of the finish. Click retry and let this software try for alternate methods.

How to Recover Deleted Photos from Android Phones

As sooner analyzing is finish, you will get a superUser request on your phone. Click Allow and grant this utility permission to begin scanning for the lost data including photos, videos and everything you selected in step 3.

Note: If you don’t see this pop-up on your phone, probably recovery has been failed and you will need to click the retry button. So just don’t blindly wait for this superuser request on your phone and have a look on your computer screen to check if the process has been failed!

Step 5. After granting permission on your phone, click the Start button on your computer screen to begin scanning. This process may take a few minutes so have patience and wait for that duration.

Once the scanning is complete, you will be provided with a screen with all the lost photos along with a checkmark on them. The screen will look like the below screen.

Ways to Recover Deleted Pictures

Step 7. Now select the photos you want to recover and click on the Recover button at the bottom of the screen to save the photos on your computer.

That’s how to recover deleted photos when you accidentally delete them from your android phone!

But here are a few points you need to take care of.

  • Don’t store other photos on your phone unless previous photos are recovered. Doing that will cause the lost photos to be rewritten and they will not be able to be recovered ever again.
  • The data recovery from the android phone is not a few minutes process. It might be pretty long and can take up to 15-20 minutes and even more sometimes. So make sure your phone has at least 25% battery remaining before you begin the process.

But prevention is always better than cure! It’s always a good idea to keep a backup of your photos and other important docs on your android before they are gone for good. There are countless guides on the web that will tell you how to backup your phone’s photos and images.

The guide above or any other tutorial on restore deleted photos doesn’t guaranty 100% results! So prefer keeping a copy of your images either on the cloud, external memory card or on the computer and stay safe.

How to Transfer Contacts from Android to iPhone?

Published

on

By

Have you recently bought an iPhone? Looking for a way to transfer all the contacts from your old Android to iPhone?

Then, you have just landed on the right spot. Here, you will be learning a handful of methods to transfer contacts from Android to iPhone.

For some methods, you need to have a Google account and an iCloud account. As an Android user, I am sure that you have a Google account. Start one iCloud account also.

Are you faced with the same dilemma I mentioned above? Then, it’s time to take action.

How to Transfer Contacts from Android to iPhone?

We all know that the iPhone does not run on Android. Apple has its own mobile platform, iOS. So, transferring anything from Android to iPhone (let alone contacts) is not an easy row to hoe. And, to add the blow, iPhone lacks any direct way of sharing contacts.

That’s why I asked you to have an iCloud account. It will make things far easier.

I am giving you three methods to transfer contacts from Android to iPhone.

Method One: Only Using Google Account

For this method, you don’t need any third-party apps or accounts. The only requirement is a Google account that you used to use on your old Android.

Step 1: Pick up your Android device. Then, go to Settings.

Step 2: Scroll down to the bottom until you see Google under Accounts. And, touch on the same.

Step 3: You will see all your Google account connected with the Android on the upcoming window. Tap on any of them (don’t forget which account you select).

transfer-contacts-from-android-to-iphone

Step 4: Now, you will get a long list of checkboxes like App data, Calendar, Chrome, Contacts, Drive, etc. Tap on the fourth one that is Contacts. Your Android will start syncing the contacts with Google.

Step 5: After the sync process gets over, move aside your oldie and take up your brand new iPhone ( the process is the same for old iPhone though).

Step 6: Go to Settings and scroll down to get ‘Mail, Contacts, and Calendars’. Touch on it to move further.

Step 7: If you haven’t added your Google account there, just add it by choosing ‘Add Account.’

Step 8: Choose Google from the next list of services. And then, you will be asked to enter the login credentials. (Make sure that you type the very same email id, which is in synchronization with Google on your Android).

Step 9: Then the next window asks you to choose the items you want to sync with. Don’t forget to tick Contacts there. Tap Next.

Step 10: Wait some minutes to get it done. The time depends on how many contacts you have in your Android.

That’s all. You have done it.

Method 2: Using iCloud Account

Let’s assume that you don’t have a Google account (rare case). And, you want to transfer contacts from Android to iPhone. In such a case, you can follow this fairly simple process to get the thing done without using a Google account.

Here, we need the help of a PC or a Mac. And, make sure you have an iCloud account.

Step 1: Take your Android phone and go to contacts.

Step 2: Get options. There must be an additional options button or key. Use the same.

Step 3: You can see a menu list in which we need to choose, Export to Storage. (The options vary from phone to phone, but there is an Export option on every phone).

(If you don’t find one, you can select all contacts and just share it with the computer via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.)

Step 4: After exporting all the contacts, send the same to your computer.

Step 5: Go to iCloud.com and login to it with your computer. You will get a home screen like this (see the image).

Step 6: From there, go to Contacts (the second option).

Step 7: You can locate a gear [] icon on the bottom left corner of the screen. Click on it to get additional options.

Step 8: Then, choose Import vCard. You will be asked to browse the vCard file here. Select those you have transferred to the PC.

Step 9: Now, the action will be on the iPhone. Go to Settings on your iPhone and scroll down to Mails, Contacts, and Calendar. Tap on it.

Step 10: Touch on iCloud (on top). And you will get a bunch of items to be synchronized. Make sure to choose Contacts from it.

transfer-contacts-from-android-to-iphone

That’s all. After doing all this, you need to be patient for a few minutes. Then, you can see all your Android contacts on the iPhone.

Method Three: Without Using The Internet

This is the easiest of all three. You don’t need an internet connection here. The only requirement is that your Android SIM card should fit for the iPhone (either micro or nano)

Fingers crossed?

Check it out.

Step 1: Insert the SIM card into the Android phone and go to Contacts.

Step 2: Get additional options. You can see Move Contacts to SIM and Copy Contacts to SIM (or you see the option export to SIM). Choose any of them.

I recommend selecting the second. Why because the phone contacts on the Android will act as a backup in case the SIM gets defected.

Step 3: Remove the SIM and insert it on the iPhone. Go to Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Then, tap Import SIM Contacts.

transfer-contacts-from-android-to-iphone

Hurray!! You now know a far way simple method to transfer contacts from Android to iPhone.

Have You Done it?

I have given you three easy ways to transfer contacts from iPhone to Android. The third method doesn’t need an internet connection too.

If you have any doubts about executing the above-given process, let me know it. I will be glad to solve the same. The comment form is waiting for you.

Do share this with your friends and followers on social media. Don’t forget to tag those who own an iPhone.

Enjoy your weekend and check another one of our iPhone articles in here!

Alternatively, you can follow all the five steps given above to turn it back on.

We can easily find out which app uses the most of your data. Tapping on the app will give a deep insight into the amount of both background and foreground data.

Once you do it, you will get the amount of data, as I said earlier. On the bottom of the screen, you can see a switcher right next to Restrict app background data.

You have just turned off background data usage for that particular application.

How to Turn Off Cellular Data for Specific Apps on Android? {Third-Party Method}

In this section, you are going to know how to disable data usage for specific apps using a third-party application called Netguard. Though the developers themselves call the app as a firewall, the working is similar to that of a VPN application.

First, you have to install the app using the link I have given above. Once you finish installing the app, you must open it to proceed further.

You will have to press Ok a couple of times for the first time.

How-to-Turn-Off-Cellular-Data-for-Specific-Apps-on-Android

When you complete all the primary processes, you will see all the apps installed on your device in alphabetical order. Right next to the name of the app, you will see cellular data and wifi icons. You can enable or disable any of them to limit the usage.

How to Unlock a Locked Phone?

How to Unlock a Locked Phone

Do you want to know how to unlock a phone?

I am not talking about the password, pattern or fingerprint lock on your device. But the lock comes with the device itself called carrier lock.

If you bought a phone exclusively from a telecom operator for a low price, you would know what I am talking about.

In this article, I want to give you complete information on how to unlock a locked phone.

I hope you are ready to get deep into the article now. So, here you go!

How to Unlock a Locked Phone?

Comparing with the pattern or PIN lock, unlocking a carrier lock will need more effort and time for you. And the procedures are different for different carriers as well.

What does an Unlocked Phone Means?

Maybe you are new to this whole locked phone stuff. So let me explain it to you.

Some operators sell expensive phones like iPhones for a cheap price in return for a contract that lasts for a particular period say two years. That means you need to use their telecom service for the next two years after you buy the device from them.

Once you set out to remove their SIM card and try to insert another from the separate network operator, it won’t work until the set contract period gets finished. The fact is that a particular unit contains a secret software code, which is responsible for the lock.

The manufacturer itself does the code integration into the unit upon the request of the network carrier. You can’t do much about it at once.

So, what is an unlocked phone?

A phone with no carrier constraint is called an unlocked phone no matter what it was locked in the past.

Why does a Carrier Lock a Device?

I have already told you the reason. They provide you with an expensive unit for a cheaper price. In return, all they want is you as a customer for a given period. They make up the discount in price for the device from the profit in service.

Is My Phone Unlocked?

You may have a question in your mind now ‘is my phone unlocked?’.

No geeky brain is needed to figure it out. Just pull out the SIM card on your phone and, insert another. If you get signals for the second SIM, you know it is unlocked. In case you don’t, your phone is carrier-locked.

How to Unlock a Phone?

As I said earlier, you need to incorporate different methods to unlock phones from different carriers. You can find how it can be done for a few operators here.

#1. Verizon

According to the company, their 4G LTE devices aren’t locked. So, you don’t need assistance in using other SIM cards on such phones.

what does an unlocked phone mean

They don’t have an online unlock request receiving system. But you can place a request via 1-800-711-8300.

Though most of the 3G devices of Verizon aren’t locked, you will have to enter either 000000 or 123456. Until you do the same, third-party operator compatibility will remain a mirage.

For the special world devices, technical support is needed for the process of unlocking. You can seek help from (800) 922-0204 also.

#2. AT&T

Unlike the previous operator, AT&T offers an online request receiving system.

how to unlock a locked phone

But you must be sure about the following things before you place a request for unlocking the device.

  • The device should be from At&T
  • You must be their subscriber
  • The device should have been active for the last two months
  • You don’t have an unpaid balance or due
  • The device shouldn’t be reported stolen or lost
  • Make sure you made less than five requests last year.

Once you come to the terms, you can fill this form out to place a request. Generally, it would take up to five business days to complete the process.

Even though they don’t provide unlock-over-the-phone service, you can seek their assistance via 1-800-331-0500. If you have a prepaid connection, the period of activity is the whole year.

#3. Sprint

When it comes to unlocking a phone from Sprint, you must follow all the bullet-point guidelines beneath the previous subhead, but with a couple of slight differences. The period of activity is 50 days and the maximum requests per year are two on contrary to two months and five requests of AT&T.

Sprint phones manufactured before 2015 can’t be unlocked according to the company. But those after that year aren’t impossible to unlock. You need to call talk with their customer care executive either via phone ((888) 211-4727) or online chat.

what is an unlocked phone

If you are a person who is about to go abroad and wants to get the phone unlocked, you are eligible to request a short-term unlocking provided you meet the guidelines. First, you need to sign in to your account, then follow My account>> Manage this device>> Unlock device to use int’l SIM.

That’s it.

#4. T-Mobile

T-Mobile too wants you to be a good customer who follows a bunch of guidelines. Everything is similar to that of Sprint. But here T-Mobile has an additional instruction that clients who are on a service contract should have made at least 18 monthly payments.

The prepaid phone should be active at least for a year to request for unlocking. And, you should have done $25 (for feature phones) or $100 (for smartphones) refill within that period to be eligible.

how to unlock a phone

Unlike the other three carriers I have shared, T-Mobile has a dedicated unlocking app, which clears the air. In case you prefer customer support, call 611 from your T-Mobile connection.
