how to contact yahoo

Even though Yahoo’s future is indefinite, the number of users they once had never decreased by a huge margin. Yet Another Hierarchical Officious Oracle kick-started its journey before even today’s search engine giant Google was established.

But in the long run, Yahoo wasn’t ready to bring up changes and new features that entice users. As a result, they have lost the charm, and Google at the same time accumulated a huge number of new users to be the number one search engine in the world.

Today, I am here with an article on how to contact Yahoo.

How to Contact Yahoo?

how-to-contact-yahoo

Most of the people try to contact Yahoo to get their issues solved. Truth be told, you don’t have to contact them for most of the Yahoo services issue as their website features the solutions.

Get Your Issues Solved

In this section, I am going to show how you can solve issues related to Yahoo solved without contacting them.

Step 1: At first you need to visit Yahoo Help Central. Don’t roam around for the links to the page. Click here and you will be there right away.

Step 2: You can grab Yahoo technical help from here. The process of getting help from here is not complicated. As the solutions to most of the problems are provided here, you don’t have to contact Yahoo customer care.

Just scroll down the page and you will see something like the image given below.

how-to-contact-yahoo

Step 3: Choose one service with which you are facing the problem.

Step 4: I have chosen mail here. If you can’t find the exact service there, simply click to see all products to get a list of entire Yahoo products.

On the next screen, you will be provided with a bunch of options and articles. They have got a lot of articles on how to solve the most probable errors.

From there, you can search for your problem and get it solved by referring the given content.

Note: – Yahoo, in their customer service help page, clearly mentioned that Yahoo mail support or any other product support is not a paid service. You don’t have to pay them even a single penny and you don’t have to give them the password or access to the account as well. If anyone claims to be their customer care executive and asks you any of the above, then they won’t be on genuine customer team.

Most of your issues will get solved with the above-given methods.

You can resolve your issues through their forum as well. Yahoo forum is a community of legitimate users where you can post your problems, and other users will try to solve it with their knowledge.

Click here to visit Yahoo forum. You can access already published threads without any hassle. But in order to start a new discussion, you should be signed in.

Yahoo offers some other methods to contact them as well. Check them out below.

Contact Yahoo via Social Networks

They have official social media profiles through which you can contact Yahoo customer service. Here, I am going to show how you can contact Yahoo via their social profiles.

Step 1: Follow step 1 I have given in the above method. That means you have to visit the Yahoo help central webpage.

Step 2: Look closely at the top right portion of the screen and you can see five buttons there. The three buttons in the middle bring you to different social media profiles of Yahoo.

how-to-contact-yahoo

So, click on one you want to go with.

Step 3: I have selected Facebook here. As you can clearly see in the image, there is a Yahoo Contact us CTA button on the Facebook page. Hence, you can use it to contact Yahoo customer care.

how-to-contact-yahoo

If you choose to go with Twitter, you can tweet them with your issue or whatever you want to convey with them.

Apart from the customer care Twitter handle (@yahoocare), you can contact Yahoo on Twitter using the official handle @yahoo as well. Considering the number of tweets receiving per day, the first one should be your pick for faster response.

Contact Yahoo Representative via Phone

We all know that the best mode of communication is phone because we get the outcome instantly.

Here, I am going to give you Yahoo customer care number. Actually, it is not Yahoo support phone number as they don’t offer customer support via phone. But you can give it a try even if it is not Yahoo mail customer service number.

I have got two phone numbers here; one of them is toll-free and you will not be charged anything for calling that number.

  • 408-349-5070,
  • 866-562-7219 (toll- free).

The above two may work out as yahoo help phone number.

In case you hear them asking for your credentials or account access, you should hang up the call right at that moment. See the image given below.

how-to-contact-yahoo

Contact Yahoo Via Email

Another method people usually use to seek support from service websites is emailing. You send them an email with your queries and hopefully, they will get back to you with the solutions.

They have only one customer care email that I have found online. cc-advoc@yahoo-inc.com.

Unlike the phone number, this email really offers you technical help. But due to the higher number of emails they are getting daily, you may have to wait some time, most probably days.

Physical Address

What if I give you the physical address of Yahoo? Will you visit them? 😉

In any case you want to visit Yahoo headquarters, here is the address.

701 First Avenue
Sunnyvale, California 94089
(408) 349-3300

I think you have got almost all the methods to contact Yahoo.

Don’t You Know How to Contact Yahoo Now?

I hope you can now contact Yahoo technical support team without staggering. You have got about five methods to contact Yahoo customer care.

As I already said, I am skeptical about the telephonic Yahoo support. Even though it is an official number of Yahoo, their website says they don’t give support via phone. So, you can use that number to contact Yahoo for purposes other than customer support.

how to turn on location services

Location services are a group of various methods to determine the present location of a device and its user. This location data might be stocked in pictures taken or used for the operation.

There are different methods for different devices. The different types are WLAN, A-GPS (Assisted GPS), GPS (Satellite), and iPad baseband 06.15.00 losing GPS function.

User Location Service is a standard protocol for directory services and present knowledge, first delivered as a draft to the IEFT in February 1996.

Client software supporting ULS has previous versions of Microsoft Netmeeting, Intel Video Phone and FreeWebFone.

Netmeeting has lessened ULS in favor of ILS (Internet Location Service) in 1997 and FreeWebFone doesn’t exist now. The guide for how to turn on location services is given below.

How to Turn On Location Services?

To switch on or switch off your Location Services, these are the steps you need to follow.

  • Exit the Instagram app and go to the iPhone’s Settings.
  • Select Privacy and go to Location Services.
  • Keep scrolling down and select Instagram.
  • While using the app, decide to permit location access.

When the Location Services on your device is turned off, you can also turn on location services and location-based system services.

  • Frequent Locations: To learn places that are important to you, your iDevice will keep a record of places you have recently visited as well as how frequently you visit them.
  • Location-Based Alerts: The iOS device will make use of your location to give you with geographic-related alerts, like a reminder to call someone when you get to a particular place or when to leave for the next appointment relying on where you currently are.

Information on how to turn off the location services is also provided. The Mapping apps can estimate where you are and give directions. Recommendation apps can give ideas for nearby eateries.

Apps like camera geotag your photos, so you have information about where you took your selfie.

But, pulling up all that data can put a hit on the battery life of your device. If you would prefer to extend the life of your battery, there are options to turn on or turn off the location services.

Location Services on the iPhone are of improvised version and how to turn on location services on iPhone is detailed here.

iOS 8 and iOS 9 provide you control over which apps have an approach to information stocked on your iOS device. For instance, you can permit a social media networking app to use a camera, permitting you to take and upload photographs.

You can also allocate access to your contact list, so a messaging app can search any friends who are using the same app already. You can adjust privacy settings.

You can also select the type of data from the list to check which apps have asked for permission to make use of that data. An app will not make an appearance on the list until it asks for permission to make use of your data.

There is an option to add or erase permission for any app that has asked for access to data. An app uses your data only if you have granted permission to do so.

Location services iPhone information is given ahead.

With the permission, Location Services grants apps and websites, which include Camera, Weather, Maps, and many other apps to make usage of information from Wi-Fi, cellular, GPS (Global Positioning System) networks, and Bluetooth to regulate the location.

In iOS 8 and iOS 9, if you switch off the Location Services and then use Find my iPhone Lost Mode, the device will switch to Location Services for as long as the phone is in Lost Mode.

Just turn off Lost Mode, Location Services will go back to its previous state. For safety purposes, the location data on the iPhone might be used for emergency calls to assist response efforts regardless of whether you facilitate Location Services.

The methods for how to turn location services are given here.

This is how to turn on location on the iPhone. The facility to turn on or off your location services is provided in the Settings. Go to Privacy and Location Services. The user can switch Location Services on either amid the Setup Assistant process or later through the settings of Location Services.

The user can individually handle which apps and system services have permission to Location Services data.

When Location Services are turned off, apps cannot make use of your location in the background or the foreground. This will control the operation of various Apple and third-party apps.

Here is how you can turn off the location services on your device.

  • Go to the Settings app and select privacy.
  • Select Location Services. Here, in this, you get to view a list of apps that have access to your current location information, and a toggle switch to turn off the Location Services altogether.
And, if you choose to turn off Location Services for all the other apps, then slide the Location Services toggle to the turn-off position.
  • Select an app’s name to alter its Location Services’ settings. To avoid individual apps from knowing your location, switch the Allow Location Access settings to ‘Never.’ Applications for location permissions approved will either always use Location Services or only make use of them while a person is using that specific app.

The Location Services will inform you while giving an explanation of what kind of location data the app is accessing (searching nearby movie timings while you are running the IMDB app, for example, or tagging your pictures with location data with an app like a camera)

  • From the main Location Services screen, select System Services. This is where you can manage whether or not various system-level facilities like iAd or Find my iPhone, can get your device’s location.

Keep scrolling down and have a look at the options list and switch these settings as you see fit.

I hope these steps helped you learn how to turn on location services on the iPhone. You no more have to go around looking for guides to know how to turn location services on.

How to Know What Song is This?

Published

Music. What does it mean to you?

Everyone listens to music. Everyone has a unique perception of what music means to them.

For some, it is a way of life, for some it is calmness, yet for others, it is there to fill the silence.

No matter what music means to you, though, and how you like to enjoy it, there comes a time when we hear a song, and instantly it connects to us.

But what if you don’t know the song? Maybe it is in a different language! Or maybe you could just make out a few beats right at the end.

And just like that, the beautiful piece of music is gone! And you find yourself asking”What song is this?”

If you ever find yourself stuck in the same situation again, we are here to help you grab onto the song and identify it! Below are some of the best software that will help you find a song, even if you get to hear it for just a few seconds.

Best Apps to Know What Song is This

For the vast majority of us, our daily commute to and from home is when we listen to music. While most of us have our collection of music, it gets repetitive after a while.

We tend to branch out into newer tracks and often it is through the radio or through internet music streaming services that can dig up new tracks. Even the top 100 songs countdown is an amazing place to find new singers whom we like!

These three apps are your best bet to help you recognize all the tracks from the top new songs to the oldies classics!

#1. Shazam

The first app on our list today is Shazam. They’ve been in the sound identification industry since the early 2008’s and the launch of the iOS AppStore.

The UI is quite intuitive, we just press the big blue centre button, and Shazam starts listening to the music around us! This is what is known as tagging a song.

If you have a data connection, Shazam can use that to figure out what’s that song and even the singer, album and release date. The release date feature though is a hit or miss!

Shazam can also save tags, and when it reconnects to the internet, it will automatically send you a notification once the song has been found.

You can also see the lyrics in real time and sing along to them.

Shazam also offers a social media experience where you can log in with Facebook and listen to the tracks that your friends have been searching for.

It also connects to Spotify or iTunes offering you a direct way to purchase or stream the tagged songs. There is a premium model for 7$, and it offers an ad-free experience but no special features. Shazam is available across a variety of desktop and mobile platforms.

#2. SoundHound

Do you know how hounds are great for tracking and hunting? And this hound hunts music. You see where I’m going with this…

Sound hound just like Shazam can find out what song is this in a jiffy! Just like Shazam, it too has a big button, yellow this time, and pressing it allows you to tag a song.

Unlike Shazam, though, offline tagging is a bit more cumbersome as you will have to search manually for the songs once you regain connectivity.

As far as special features go, like Shazam, it can also show you the lyrics of any song you want to find and display them even for songs in your device. You can even search via text which is something Shazam lacks.

Another niche feature is that you can hum a song and Sound Hound will tell you who sings this song. It works quite well as it can even recognize my croaks as lyrics!

Lastly, it’s connected with Rdio and Spotify so that you can listen to the tagged searches. there is a paid version which for 7$ removed all the adverts. SoundHound is available cross-platform on all mobile OS even Blackberry and even has a digital assistant called Hound, but unfortunately, it’s in a  beta stage right now!

#3. Music ID

Last and very definitely least on the list is Music ID. It can tell you what song is this and just about that!

The UI is simpler and cleaner than the other two primarily because it offers fewer features than the competition.

There is no offline tagging, so you have to be always online. While there is a link to iTunes, and the ability to share the identified song via social networks, integration with streaming services remain conspicuously missing!

There is no lyrics service in it either, and we are mostly limited to the mobile OSs’.

The only saving grace if there could be one is the fact that the app doesn’t have any paid versions.

So now we here we are, at the end of this article. Armed with these three apps, I hope you can answer the question, “What song is this?” every time! No matter if it is one of the top new songs or one of the obscure ones from the 1950s, you can now find a song, anytime, anywhere!

Be sure to check out our other original articles here. And if you have any questions about any of these apps feel free to leave me a line below!

How To Choose Best eCommerce Hosting For Your Business

Published

on

eCommerce has changed the way of living completely. Where 10 years back people used to visit an offline store to do shopping, has been replaced by online eCommerce websites now.

In the last 5-8 years out of every 10 big companies, 3-4 are eCommerce sites. eBay, Amazon, Flipkart, SnapDeal all have changed the way of shopping tremendously.

Specialization is good. Specialization is what makes e-commerce such an exciting prospect for small businesses.

Most towns can’t support an office for a niche industry, but opening shop online gives you access not to who’s in the area, but who’s interested in what you have to offer.

It’s important to remember, however, that specialization can be valuable all the way down. Specialized solutions will almost always confer advantages over more general solutions. Web hosting is an excellent example that can illustrate the importance of specialization.

But a big question comes when we are just going to start our own eCommerce website and looking for a Best eCommerce Hosting.

When most people think of web hosting, they look at the raw numbers: cost per month, the cost for bandwidth, the cost for storage, and so on. Web developers and savvy business people know that the rabbit hole goes much deeper than this, however.

Web hosting is a nuanced field, and it often isn’t enough to hammer a web hosting plan into shape for what you need. It’s much safer to make sure a hosting plan provides what you need out of the box, and it’s possible if you know what to look for.

Looking into server architecture can be intimidating, for instance, but it’s important if you can to know what sort of machines your services and data will be hosted on. Some systems work better for different sorts of databases.

Some hosting providers don’t enable access to the sort of database your business might need. This makes doing your homework a very important thing when feasible.

However, sometimes it isn’t possible to learn the ins and outs of web hosting on such an intimate level. Many don’t have the time to invest themselves in mastering a second industry while they’re trying to stay on top of the first already.

For this, there’s no reason not to look for people that are themselves specialists for your web hosting. eCommerce web hosting from Network Solutions is a good option; everything you need for eCommerce comes packaged already by professionals that know what they’re doing.

While most only remember specialization as a double-edged sword, it’s also the key to running your business efficiently.

For something fundamental like web hosting, specialization can save you a lot of money in the long term and allow you to run a cleaner eCommerce business.

Lower overhead means better margins, and faster services mean happier customers, so even something broad and varied like web hosting is critically important to consider for streamlining and specialized solutions.
