You don’t need to Jailbreak the iPhone but if you are intrested to know more about Jailbreaking the iPhone, here is how to jailbreak iPhone.
#1 App lock for iPhone – using iAppLock app
1. The iAppLock app is a very simple application that has an easy to use user interface. Once you open the app you will find that there are three different tabs at the bottom. They are:
(from left to right).
Step 2. In the Protect tab you can see there is a plus sign on the app. Clicking on this plus sign allows you to select third party apps or naive apps that can be protected through a pass code. There is however a limit of five applications that will need purchasing of the upcoming professional versions to override. You can choose the apps that you think need the maximum protection for and place a pass code for them.
Step 3. A pass code prompt will pop up whenever a person tries to have an access to any of the protected applications and the person will be able to use the protected apps only if he or she is able to enter the correct pass code. The app also has a pass code that prevents people from going to the tweak and disabling it which helps in providing really good security.
Step 4. The application currently only accepts numerical pass codes or alphabetical pass codes but we hope we will be able to find future updates that will allow alphanumeric pass codes as well. Hopefully in the future we will be able to add pass codes not only apps but to folders as well. Hope the developers consider it.
Step 5. The second tab that is the settings tab has many options to configure that includes even a delayed lock setting. Here, applying passcode isn’t necessary for an amount of time you decide after accessing any one of the other protected applications.
For example, if Gmail is one of your protected applications and you just entered the passcode for it then you will not have to type passcode for any of the other protected applications for the amount of time you select for the delay. You can set the delay time to either 1 minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 20 minutes or 30 minutes, whichever that is convenient as per your usage.
Step 6. Apart from all these cool features to be on the safer side even if you forget your passcodes there is absolutely no need to panic as you can retrieve your passcode easily any time through an authenticated email. There are also menu items so that you can change your passcode.
Step 7. If you are not satisfied with the app or are facing any kind of problems or difficulties at all you can easily send feedback to the developers. You can find the iAppLock now on Cydia for free in the BigBoss repository. If you want to download paid apps for free, here is how to get Paid apps for free.
#2 Lock apps on iPhone – using guided access (iOS 8 users)
Step 1. For iOS 8 users another thing that you can do is to go to the accessibility settings where you can see Guided Access. This is not a full proof protection but something you can use to increase the security at least a little bit. This guided access lets you keep your iPhone in just one app and you can control which features will be made available and which will not.
Step 2. After you enable this Guided Access just bring up the triple click home feature. You can block some of the areas from being accessed by drawing across the screen.
Step 3. Then just tap Start after this.
Step 4. Once all of this is done without knowing your passcode no one can access those parts of the screen that you disabled. To get rid of this guided access just triple-click the home button and enter your passcode.
#3 How to lock apps on iPhone – for iOS 7 users
Step 1. For ios7 it is almost the same! Click on settings in your home page and go to general settings. Click on accessibility, go to the guided access and turn it on.
Step 2. You can then enter a 4-digit code as a pass code.
Step 3. After this just go to that app that you want to protect and triple click the home button to set the protection up.
Step 4. To remove this protection you have to do the exact same thing, type the correct passcode and it will get deactivated easily.
#4 How to lock apps on iPhone – using other apps
Step 1. Just like iAppLock, there are other apps also that can help you with the security.
Step 2. Another app that you can download is Folder Lock that will protect all your photos, contacts, music, voice memos, documents, notes, and a lot more.
Step 3. Just download the app and then enter the passcode each time you want to access any of the files! This is all you need to do.
So this was all about locking apps on your iOS-based device i.e. iPhone. Since all of your sensitive and important data is mainly saved either in your email account or folder, so it becomes essential to lock folders first. Hence locking apps and folders ion iPhone is the first and the most important line of defense to protect data.

How to Fix Headphones?
You love to hear music while working and while exercising and for that you bought a nice, shiny new pair of iPhone 6 headphones. You are amazed by the sound quality and don’t feel tired telling your friends how good the bass is.
This happiness lasts for a few months and then the heartbreaking moment happens. You were listening to your favorite song when suddenly you hear a slight crackle, and the song goes mute. Your valued possession has just turned to a very inefficient paperweight and you are sulking that How to fix headphones not working.
This is a familiar episode that repeats with nine out of ten people. If you wish to know how to fix headphones then you need not waste money every time this episode repeats with you.
We all know that this happens because the cables almost invariably weaken and breakthrough constant movement. The majority of breaks occur just at the point where the cables leave the jack. It is the point of highest stress and thus you should learn how to fix headphone jack.
Some manufacturers do use durable cables and reinforce the places where the cables join the jack plug and the phones, but still, they break sooner or later. If you are ready to put in a little effort then you don’t need to throw your headphones into trash over the issue that headphones not working.
How to Fix Headphones not Working on iPhone
If you follow the below instructions wisely, you will be able to fix those headphones. Here’s how to fix broken headphones. So to answer your question “What can I do now that my headphones wont work?”, you will require a few things.
- The broken earbud headphones that need to be fixed.
- A replacement jack plug. Buy the replacement that matches the size of your original plug. One thing to note here is that the replacement jack plug will almost certainly be considerably larger than the moulded plug you’re replacing. It is because the tiny plugs fitted in factories are soldered and moulded on by machines.
- A soldering iron and solder.
- A vice to hold things safely while soldering.
- A matchbox or better still will be a cigarette lighter.
- A penknife, some scissors, or a wire cutter.
Once you have everything ready, follow the step-by-step guide on how to fix earphones.
Step 1: The very first thing that you need to do is to get rid of the old jack attached to the wire to reach to the root of the problem. Just cut one or two inches from the old jack. Now you want to strip about 2 inches of insulation from where the jack used to be.
Step 2: As you strip the wire, you will see 4 wires. Two of these will be ground and so they can be twisted together. The other 2 wires should be red and green. The earbud cables are wired up slightly differently in different cables.
You can have a red or green wire inside surrounded by ordinary, copper-colored wire or green or red cable surrounded by red and green “striped” wire. In this case, the stripped red and green is the ground wire, which was copper-colored in the other cable.
Step 3: Now strike a match and briefly heat the ends of all three wires to burn off the insulating covering. You can also use scissors or leatherman to scrape the insulation if you wish.
This step is important for making the proper electrical connection when you solder. Make sure not to burn too much as you just want to get rid of insulation; you definitely don’t want to make wires too black and brittle.
Step 4: Unscrew the case of your jack plug and you’ll find the three terminals for the three wires in your cable: red, green and the twisted ground ones. You need to now solder these wires to the jack, but before doing that there is a common mistake, which people make and then they have to redo it, which is frustrating.
So, before you further proceed on how to fix earbuds, thread the cable through the top (plastic) part of the plug, which is the cover.
Step 5: The time has come for tinning the wires. Tinning means you lightly cover the bare cables with solder so that they make better joints and better electrical contact.
For this, take your soldering iron and cover each wire in solder. If you see a nice, shiny coating you can bang on. This also allows us to slip each wire through the respective holes on the stereo plug easily.
Step 6: It is very important to make a good mechanical joint between the wires and the terminals. So, poke the wires through the holes and wrap them round a couple of times before you solder. Also, check the wiring before soldering.
Put the ear-buds into your music player and with the wires touching the contacts, see if you hear stereo. If the sound is coming then everything is fine and you just need to secure the connection by soldering them.
If you don’t hear the sound even after touching the wires firmly to the contacts then you need to check your connections again.
Step 7: Once sound starts coming, you can go ahead with the soldering part. The copper-colored ground wire goes to the large outer terminal. The green wire goes to the central terminal and the red goes to the remaining terminal.
Care should be taken not to touch the bottom of the jack plug while soldering as heat travels through the electrical pins quickly and it can burn your fingers. So, always use a vice to hold it.
Step 8: Once you are through with soldering, place all three soldered wires inside the clamp at the top of the plug and crimp it tight with some pliers. This ensures that the soldered connections are secure and don’t break when you pull on the cable.
Now you are ready to reap the benefits of all your hard work. So, sit back and listen to your favorite song using the earphones you just repaired.
