How to create a website

Right now it’s the “Digital Era” isn’t it? Even if you’ve never been into codes, the one “digital desire” you just have is, to have your own website, don’t you? So well, that’s exactly what I’m explaining in this piece, How to create a Website.

By the end of this piece you’ll get a neat idea if you’ve had any doubts regarding how to make a website, or how to create your own funnels or anything distantly related.

What is a Website?

I’m sure you might have read this exact same subheading enough times, but nope this one isn’t going to be like them.

The kind of things I’m talking about in this piece, in order to help you make your own website, aren’t “too” advanced, they’re basic, but they’ll get you started.

Okay so let’s get down to the point. What is a Website?

A Website, is a “page” on the internet. It’s a page where you share your stuff, Sell something or just write. It’s a page that is accessible all across the globe, and it’s the page that has the potential to make you money, lot’s of money.

Is there only One Kind of Website?

Definitely not, there are over 50 different kind of websites. Starting from general “blogs”, to super complicated, custom coded Social networks and E-commerce stores.

But those are not what we will be making today.

In this piece today on how to build a website, I’ll be sharing with you  how to make your own website, that’s simple, doesn’t cost your a fortune, and still makes you money. (Or maybe not, that’s your choice.)

What do You Need to Make a Website:

Lies you’ve been told about making your own website:-

If you’ve been told you need to be a expert with HTML, Javascript, CSS and all that in order to know how to start a website, you’ve been told a lie.

I’m 19, and I don’t know shit for codes, still I’ve been making websites for a living, and I’ve been pretty successful at it too. So I speak from experience.

Or, if you’ve been told you need a fortune and a bank balance that looks like a cell number to make your own website, that’s a lie too!

I’ll list out the “simpler” things you’d be needing in order to create your own website:-

  • A Domain.
  • A server.
  • A CMS (I’ll be explaining WordPress, nope not just blogs, you can even make full fledged E-commerce sites with it!)

If you don’t want to spend any money on your first website, here is how to start a blog for free.

How to Create a Website:-

The Domain Name:-

So okay, we start with the domain name. A domain name the first step towards creating your own website. It’s the “address” of your website.

For eg. in our case, we have experthoot.caddressthe adress. And that’s what you typed to get here, right?

Guess what! Domain names are cheap! Yeah they are.

Some other platforms you can get domain names from:-

  • Godaddy.
  • BigRock.
  • Namecheap.

Registering a domain name takes minutes. so well just head over to any of the above options, and choose your domain name. Here is guide to buy a domain. This explains how to buy a Domain before starting a website.

Tips While Buying a Domain Name:-

  • Keep it Short.
  • Keep it simple.
  • Don’t use high diction.
  • Don’t use numbers and dashesh.
  • Keep it “brandable”.
  • Keep it unique.

The Servers:-

The servers are where your files are stored. You’ll be uploading images, text, and probably even videos to the websites, right?

And then there’s the core-code on which the site runs, so you need space for all of that right? Well you need “servers” for them.

Now, getting servers is just as easy as getting domain names, or maybe signing up a Facebook acount! Yeah, nothing complicated with them.

First things first, head over to a Good Server company and get yourself a descent one.

So once you’ve got the servers (which I insist you take from Bluehost, because all that there is to consider, starting from Speed, bandwidth and space, has been considered and evaluated before recommending that to you!)

You only need to link your nameservers to your domain, that you can do by:-

  • Going to your Domain Control Panel.
How-to-create-a-website
  • Then, click on the little arrow that’s there alongside your domain name, and select Manage DNS from it!
How-to-create-a-website
  • Now scroll down a bit to find the “nameservers’ section. Well it’s easy just click on Change, and edit the nameservers with the nameservers you get with your servers!
How-to-create-a-website

Done!

Installing the CMS:-

CMS- Content Management System. And well there’s no other service that can surpass WordPress when it comes to building an easy, simple yet professional website.

So well, just login to your servers. And on the SearchBar, search for “Softaculous” (This is the hub which has all the “1-click install modules” for you).

How-to-create-a-website

Now just click on it, and you should see the WordPress icon right there at the top. (Considering it poweres world’s 1/4 websites!)  So just hover over it, and click Install.

How-to-create-a-website

On the next page, just fill in the Details. The page is pretty simple, although I’d say you can leave the “directory” field blank if you want your site to be exactly at your URL, like www.yoururl.com instead of being at www.yoururl.com/directory. Anyway the choice is yours.

How-to-create-a-website

So once you’ve filled in the details, click on install! Done!  Now you would get the login details and the Login URL mailed to you on the Email Id you entered while setting up WordPress. You should use an interactive and mobile optimised WordPress theme. If you don’t know much about WordPress themes, see this blog post telling you how to Choose the best WordPress theme.

More Than a “Blog”?

Not just a “WordPress blog”. Using the installer at Softaculous, you can lieterally create just about anything you wish for!

  • Forums.
  • Membership Sites.
  • E-commerce Platforms.
  • Social Networks
  • Or anything else!

Just choose those modules, like “prestashop-for E-commerce” instead of WordPress and the rest of the procedure is almost the same!

Final Words:-

So yup that was it folks on how to create a website. I tried to make the process as simple and elaborate to you as possible. But if still some doubts remain, you can always make use of the comment box.

Oh and if you seriously create a website using the above steps, I’d love to hear your experience and how it all goes!

Locker means a safe place where you can put your personal or important things hiding from others. We all have some things which we don’t want to share with others same as in the computer you have any important data that you want to hide from the outside world. For that, there are many software available over the web and as well as well-known by you so no need to describe it.

But if you want to lock your Hard Drive partitions without any software then? In that case, Microsoft has provided one wonderful tool known as “BitLocker” in Windows Vista, 7 and 8 for encrypting your entire Hard Drive partitions. Using BitLocker you can lock any volume on the computer even the one you boot from. But a question arises in your mind that How to use it, right? First of all this requires that Windows has a seperate boot partition that isn’t encrypted; in case if you don’t have then create a separate boot partition. The second requirement is that your system include a TPM (Trusted Platform Module).

If you try to encrypt your boot volume without satisfying the above to requirement then it will give an error as shown in the figure below.

What is a QR code?

Quick Response codes, often abbreviated as QR codes are a kind of matrix Bar Code or two-dimensional Bar Codes (a machine-readable code represented in the form of patterns of parallel lines and numbers usually used to store information’s like price, index of an object to which it is attached ).

How-To-Create-QR-Codes-In-Easy-Steps

QR codes came to us all the way from the technological hub Japan where they were first designed for the automotive Industry.
A QR code uses four industry standard encoding modes to efficiently store information about the item to which it is attached and those are:  Numeric, Alphanumeric, Byte/Binary and Kanji (漢字 logographic Chinese character).
A QR code consists of Square dots (black modules) systematically arranged in a square box with a white background and can be read by imaging devices like scanner or camera.
Fact: the QR code system was invented in 1994 by Denso wave (a subsidiary of Toyota) with the sole purpose of tracking vehicles during manufacture. QR codes can store more than 4,000 alphanumeric characters in a limited space.

What purpose are QR codes used for?

QR codes are quite popular in the industry because of its quick readability and larger storage capacity as compared to the usual Bar Codes.
#1: QR codes can be used to link directly to a URL
#2: QR codes can be used to store data like name, address, numeric values like price, phone numbers etc.
Examples:
#1: One can add QR codes to his/her business cards that could store name, address, contact numbers, links to the social media presence.

QRstuff also facilitates the user to have a preview of the QR code which has been created.

Step #4: Download the QR code. It equips you with the PNG file of the QR code. Moreover, one can even print and E-mail the QR code directly from the website itself.

QR codes created by these methods will work perfectly fine but going with the paid platforms obviously has its perks, here we list some of those perks:
1: you can edit the content without playing with the design of the QR code.
2: you can have multi-user accessibility for managing QR code campaigns.
3: you will be equipped with the facility of tracking the number of scans corresponding to the geography, device and time.
4: you can have the desired resolution, scalar or vector image, format, and quality.

Here are few paid online websites: QR-CODE-GENERATOR  and Kaywa

Alternatively, one can also use software for creating QR codes easily.

QR codes work like a charm, You have to see it to believe it. Hope we are efficient enough to make you aware of the basics you need to know while creating you first QR code.
If you have any query regarding QR codes, do let us know via comments. We’ll surely get back to you and will try our level best to solve your thing.

How To Test Wifi Speed?

Published

on

As we all know, in this modern generation Internet has become as important as water and oxygen. Without the internet one’s life is boring like a lazy sloth. The Internet helps us to connect with the world. And needless to say, a simple source of internet is a WiFi.

WiFi, i.e. wireless fidelity, which provides a wireless connection to the internet in a particular area. Users can connect to it from their Android devices and laptops just by putting the required key and can enjoy the benefits. It is really annoying when your WiFi speed works like a snail, and I can understand that feeling since I am also a regular user of wifi.

But don’t worry you can anytime upgrade your connections to enhance the speed. But before that, you will need to check the actual speed whether it’s actually slow or its just a network problem. In this article, we are gonna show you how to test WiFi speed. Follow the guide and learn to check WiFi speed just by following few steps.

How To Test WiFi Speed:-

As I mentioned, there are many tricks of speed test WiFi, we can use websites as well as some features which are already available on our computer but we are unaware of it. In this article, I have covered both the ways. Let’s head over it.

#Method 1. By Using Third Party Websites

First of all, you can use the OOKLA speed test website. The OOKLA is one of the best and true websites for checking the speed of your wireless connection of internet. This website is very easy to use and can give the results faster than any other website. But remember, to use this website you will need a software called adobe flash player.

If you don’t have adobe flash player you won’t be able to use this trick and you will have to drop the idea of using OOKLA and have to try out other methods which I’ve shown below in the guide. To use OOKLA speed test track, you have to go to the website http://www.speedtest.net.

As sooner you visit the website, you will see an awesome background and a laptop type structure in which a world map is shown and a meter which shows your internet speed. Now just click on the big green button of Begin Test and it will select the best server based on ping.

How-To-Test-WiFi-Speed

After that, it will test your download speed, you just need to wait for a few seconds. Once the test is complete, you will get notified about your download speed.

After the downloading speed check is complete, the OOKLA will test for your uploading speed and again in a few seconds, it will show your uploading speed. My internet is too slow as you can see in the image 😛

This is an awesome website to check the speed of wifi, whether it’s downloading or uploading speed. And if it is not working fine on your Pc or doesn’t support to your device, then here is another good website which is also powered by OOKLA speed test.

The other website for speed test wifi is http://www.timewarnercable.com/en/support/speed-test.html. Just click on the above link and you will land on the new page of Time Warner Cable website of testing the speed of your internet.

To use this, just click on the Begin Test button and wait for a few seconds.

And it will show you the download speed and upload speed as well.

OOKLA is the best software for checking the speed of your WiFi. I think you don’t need any other way to check your wi-fi speed, but as I promised above, let’s check out the method to check wi-fi speed without any website.

#Method 2. Without Using Any Websites

We can check our internet speed without any software or any website within our computer or laptop. Just follow these simple steps. But remember, the method I’m showing you is applicable for windows 7 users or above.

If you are using Windows XP then stay tuned, I will show the method to check the internet speed on Windows XP too.

Following are the steps to check network speed on windows 7, just keep calm and follow these simple steps:-

Step 1. First of all, you need to go to Control Panel.

Step 2. Open Network and Sharing Center as shown in the below-given image.

Now a new window will open up with the details about your internet connection. Under View your active networks section, there are three options:_

: Access type:

: Homegroup:

: Connections:

You can see in the connection section, a cable icon is shown which means my internet is connected through a cable.

Step 3. The next step is to click on the option which is shown in the connection section like mine is Local Area Connection.

After clicking on that, a new pop-up window will open up with all the details about your connections. You can see the below screenshot in case of any doubt.

You can see the fifth point ‘Speed’ which means with how much speed your internet is running. I think you are shocked by watching my speed (100.0 Mbps)!! Guys don’t worry, it happened because I am using the internet by cable but it will show the real speed when you are connected with WiFi.

Now for the Windows XP users, if you want to check the speed of your wifi without any website and any software, stay tuned and read the next few simple steps, I think they might be helpful to you 🙂

Step 1. Go to start menu and open Control Panel.

Step 2. Then select Network Connections as shown in the given image.

Step 3. Now under LAN or High-Speed Internet section, two computers and a cable-type structure are shown, just double click on that.

And again a dialog box will pop-up and under the connection section, you can see the speed of your internet connection.

That’s all for the guide!!

We hope the tutorial helped you learn how to test wifi speed. Now you can perform wifi speed test without taking any one’s help!

There are many other websites and software to check the speed of the internet which you can get by searching on google and if you want to check your internet speed on android, there are many apps for that too!

You just have to search it on google and You’ll be provided with several such apps and websites.

How To Play PS3 Games On PS4

The Sony Playstation gaming console was launched in the year 1994 and has held gamers enthralled with games ranging from Super Mario Kart to Devil May Cry and BloodBourne.

However, with the ever-increasing complexity of the console from version to version, some games from previous generations are now unplayable. That is up until now. We decided to put together a guide on how to play PS3 Games on PS4 in tribute to the next generation of cloud-based gaming.

Sony PlayStation 4 is one of the premium gaming consoles rivaled only by Xbox One and Nintendo Wii. Being at the pinnacle of the gaming industry for more than two decades now, the PS continues its market dominance much to the delight of Sony PlayStation fans everywhere!

If you wanted to Play Xbox 360 on PC, here is How to Play Xbox 360 Games on PC?

How to Play PS3 Games on PS4

Can u play PS3 games on PS4?” was the question asked by one of our readers. With the release of Sony Playstation 4 and PS4 not supporting the discs meant for the PS3, this question posed a possible pockmark on the PS4’s otherwise incredible gameplay and performance. So, can you play PS3 games on PS4?

The answer at the time was sadly – No. All the PS3 games stayed with the console for which they were meant. Any disc you bought for the PS3 stays with it, and you will have to get new game discs for PS4.

But, can the PS4 play PS3 games? The answer is yes. Although they both have extremely different internal architectures, PS4 does have the computing power to virtually emulate the PS3 architecture, which makes us think – Why would Sony do this to us?

Give us the computing power, but not the games we all love and adore. Can PS4 play PS3 games? If yes, how?

For those hoping to play PS3 games on PS4, Sony has released Playstation Now, a cloud-based gaming platform that allows you to play all your PS3 games on your PS4 by streaming it to your PS4.

For the gaming community, the PS Now comes as a boon that they had been long awaiting. This allows you to stream games from the cloud and play them in sync with your Sony Entertainment Account savegames. So, say hello to an all-new experience from all your old favorite games from last gen.

How-to-play-ps3-games-on-ps4

Playing the classic vintage games on a new console can be a thrilling experience. The Advanced Graphics rendering and the amazing world texture enhancements make it look more real than the originals did, making the games seem new to the eye. Gameplay remains the same since the control scheme is no different than any previous model of PS.

An interesting thing to note about the PS Now is that it must always be connected, which does provide for some insecurity to those without a stable internet connection. But since all things are based on the cloud for the PS Now, this is a sad thing.

The upside of this is that your savegames will never be corrupted and you can always continue gameplay from the point where you last logged off.

Ever played Fantasy Football? Here is How to Play Fantasy Football?

This somewhat combines the concepts of MMO gaming and traditional gaming with cloud synced savegames for some games like the Batman Arkham Series or Assassins Creed, where you either start where you last left off (out of mission) or in a nearby zone to the place where you can continue the free roam that sandbox games like these give you.

P.S. Now has been in development for some time (since 2014 in fact) and recently released in May of 2015 in North America. Over 400 games are accessible in the cloud for either a monthly subscription of $19.99 or a three-month subscription fee of $49.99.

How-to-play-ps3-games-on-ps4

Does PS4 play PS3 games as well as the original console? The answer is ‘No’ again – Not all games can be emulated and even when they can, it requires a minimum of 5mbps uninterrupted internet speed to preload the game from the cloud. Right now, only 400 of the thousands of games available for the PS3 are available for the PS4, but thankfully almost all our favorite top-sellers are included.

Still, it is a blessing for those praying to the gamer gods for better clearer graphics and amazing gameplay for the games that do run.

Among these are the Assassins Creed Games up till ACIII, Batman Arkham Series (not including Arkham Knight), BlazBlue, Darkstalkers, God of War, Hitman HD remakes, Infamous, Resident Evil, Injustice: Gods among us, King of Fighters ’93 and XIII and several Lego video games including Batman and Harry Potter.

All these are highly recommended if you haven’t played them on the PS3 as well. But any gamer worth his joystick would have played most of these, if not all of them.

PS Now has a 7-day free trial as well, so you can test out how your internet connection responds to the bandwidth load from the cloud games.

Are you a Pokemon fan? You are going to love the Pokemon game on the iPhone. Here is How To Get Pokemon on iPhone

If it does work out, you can then choose to rent games for the standard 4 hours, 1 day, 7 days, 30days and 90 days. Or you can pay the subscription. Either way, it’s awesome, and if you have a PS4 and a decent internet connection – go head and sign up now to get access to all the goodies that Sony PlayStation Now has.

Warning: Side effects may include being unable to get up from your seat, sore thumbs, clawed hands, unblinking eyes and angry moms. If you have suffered from these before (especially the last one), consider keeping maximum snacks and caffeinated fizzy drinks to fight the adverse effects (and do it when she’s away)

We hope this answers the question – how to play PS3 games on PS4 and the question can I play PS3 games on PS4. The PS4 might not be meant for this exclusively, but it sure does meet the requirements of those nostalgic gamers out there with a thirst for adventure, action and adrenalin that only the classics can provide.

How to Connect Your TV to Your Computer

Published

on

connect-tv-to-your-computer

One way to show digital pictures and video to friends and family is for all to circle around the home computer screen. Alternatively, you can connect your tv to your computer and send the images to the TV. Technology also exists to network a TV and a computer in the other direction, so that you can watch television programs on your laptop or PC.

Showcasing digital images on the television

With a digital camera or video recorder, user can create multimedia image files stored on their PCs. Showing these images to others can be inconvenient, however, especially if your computer screen is small and located in a private room of the house. Displaying them on television usually allows you to show them at a larger size and in a more comfortable location.

You can connect a computer to a TV either wirelessly or with cables. The method you choose depends on the types of connections your TV supports as well as your budget for purchasing additional hardware.

Viewing television on the PC

You may also be interested in watching television programs on a computer. This is also possible with the right wired or wireless equipment installed. Some TV broadcasts are accessible directly via the Internet and no connection to television is required. Those who own Digital Video Recorders (DVR) may also prefer to connect their computer to the DVR rather than the television directly.

Connecting Computers to TVs through Wires

Televisions do not normally support Ethernet cable connections. Instead, you will typically connect your laptop or desktop PC to a TV using one of the following types of audio-visual (AV) cables:

· SO-Video

· HDMI

· DVI or HDMI-to-DVI

· VGA

· Any of the above – to-SCART (in Europe)

A scan converter converts the computer’s video signal into standard TV formats. You may need to set up a scan converter to connect your computer and TV if, between them, the two do not support any compatible combination of AV cable technologies listed above. Latest televisions, however, generally support multiple types of digital inputs and finding the right cable should not be too difficult.

•Connecting Computers to TVs Wirelessly

In place of using cables, you can also use Wi-Fi to connect computers and TVs wirelessly. Since televisions do not ordinarily support Wi-Fi, you will need to install a separate unit between the computer and TV. One common solution is called a Wireless PC to TV system or [i[Digital Media Receiver. These products connect via AV cable to the TV and supply Wi-Fi connections to any computer in the home.

Another wireless PC to TV connectivity option is based on Windows Media Center Edition (MCE). If you purchase a Windows XP or Windows Vista PC with the MCE application included, this system contains built-in wireless connectivity support for streaming images to your television. A few of these systems also support TV tuner cards that allow your computer to receive incoming television signals. Finally, you can extend the capability of a Media Center PC across an entire wireless home network by installing a Media Center Extender product like the Linksys DMA2100.

Happy computing!! and now you are able to connect your tv to your computer
