How To Change Font of Internet Explorer, Firefox and Google Chrome

Fonts are one of the few elements in our life we spend most of our time on. Doesn't matter if you're texting, browsing the internet, or just reading, fonts exist everywhere all the same. Well that's why I'm scribbling this How To Change Font of Internet Explorer, Firefox and Google Chrome guide down!

And without knowing, they (fonts) become an extremely important and common part of our day-to-day life, cause hey when was the last time you went couple days without touching a cell phone, being on a computer or watching a Television? Yeah that,s right, never!

And you don't give this a thought generally, but when you do, you'd feel that if you change the fonts on your device which you've been using for years or months, it suddenly feels like you've got a new device.

Well I'll get into the details obviously but first let's get into some basics.\

You might also like:- How to Fix Internet Explorer has Stopped Working?

What are Fonts and Why Would You Change Them?

Fonts are the “Texts” sprinkled all over the various kinds of devices that we use. Infact, if you give it a thought, you spend over 50-60% of your awake-time staring at fonts.

Be it at office when you're working, at home when you're texting, or when you're simply staring up at the different product labels, fonts are everywhere!

Now the interesting thing here is, when you use a cell phone or laptop, you actually are concentrating on the “fonts” almost all the time and not on what colour your laptop is or how big the keyboard keys are and that's a fact.

That's the reason that when you change your fonts, it feels like you've got yourselves a fresh system, cause everything (where your actual focus lies) feels so new, while in reality it's all the same except the font.

The difference feels major because the part we focus “majorly” on has changed.

Well why would you want to change it? There are various reasons:-

  • Design Change:- Obviously just changing the design and getting a fresh look is a pretty good reason, isn't it?
  • Size:- Some fonts come in a specific size, if the size isn't what you want and you're unable to increase it, you might change it.
  • Readability:- Some fonts just aren't made for “Reading”, they're for “Decor” purposes, on greeting cards and stuff. If you somehow got one of those fonts on your laptop or cell phones, good luck decoding them!

And not to go with the traditional criticism that I.E faces, but I still feel Chrome and Mozilla have a better interface when it comes to font selection than I.E. I never got it, how could the World leader in Tech (Microsoft) not be able to build something to compete with Chrome!

Anyway you're done!

How to Hide Your Online Identity [Part 2]

How to hide your Online Identity

In the first part of our How to Hide Your Online Identity, we have taken you to the world of proxy servers. Hope you have enjoyed the ride.

Here we are back again with the second part of our detailed series. In this part, we will take you to the “Virtual” world. Amazed? Just Keep on reading. You will find all your answers.

Before You Proceed:

CAUTION AND WARNING

We hereby caution our readers that tricks, tips and tools described in the post and those which will be informed in future under this series are just to make web user aware of Internet Security.

These techniques must be used for some important deeds such as while providing personal and financial details to a public server. Don’t use these methods to carry out illegal activities.

What is a VPN ?

According to Wikipedia

The VPN connection across the Internet is technically a wide area network (WAN) link between the sites but appears to the user as a private network link—hence the name “virtual private network”.  enables a host computer to send and receive data across shared or public networks as if it were a private network with all the functionality, security and management policies of the private network.

This is done by establishing a virtual point-to-point connection through the use of dedicated connections, encryption, or a combination of the two.

Why VPN?

Most VPN's are used to add security. Today's world is evolving quickly and the security pitfalls of modern conveniences are often ignored.

Public WIFI hotspots, common in airports and coffee shops, are a hackers dream because they offer streams of visible data waiting to be mined. Using a VPN keeps your information secure.

Deep Packet inspection is another growing concern. Many ISPs would like to analyze statistics from your online activities for marketing and routing purposes. Using a VPN thwarts efforts to conduct deep packet inspections.

Similarly, search engines and social networking sites, like Google and Facebook, are storing information about your online habits indefinitely. Since a VPN provides the user with a different IP address, these privacy invasions are also thwarted.

VPN services provide different gateway cities where the IP address assigned to your computer is located. This allows users to access websites only available to users from a certain country.

This application is particularly important for travellers who need to access websites from their home country and for people living in regions rife with censorship, like China and Iran.

How to Tutorial example…

  • Assume a remote host with public IP address 1.2.3.4 wishes to connect to a server found inside a company network. The server has internal address 192.168.1.10 and is not reachable publicly. Before the client can reach this server, it needs to go through a VPN server/firewall device that has public IP address 5.6.7.8 and an internal address of 192.168.1.1. All data between the client and the server will need to be kept confidential, hence a secure VPN is used.
  • The VPN client connects to a VPN server via an external network interface.
  • The VPN server assigns an IP address to the VPN client from the VPN server's subnet. The client gets internal IP address 192.168.1.50, for example, and creates a virtual network interface through which it will send encrypted packets to the other tunnel endpoint (the device at the other end of the tunnel).
  • When the VPN client wishes to communicate with the company server, it prepares a packet addressed to 192.168.1.10, encrypts it and encapsulates it in an outer VPN packet, say an IPSec packet. This packet is then sent to the VPN server at IP address 5.6.7.8 over the public Internet. The inner packet is encrypted so that even if someone intercepts the packet over the Internet, they cannot get any information from it. They can see that the remote host is communicating with a server/firewall, but none of the contents of the communication. The inner encrypted packet has source address 192.168.1.50 and destination address 192.168.1.10. The outer packet has source address 1.2.3.4 and destination address 5.6.7.8.
  • When the packet reaches the VPN server from the Internet, the VPN server decapsulates the inner packet, decrypts it, finds the destination address to be 192.168.1.10, and forwards it to the intended server at 192.168.1.10.
  • After some time, the VPN server receives a reply packet from 192.168.1.10, intended for 192.168.1.50. The VPN server consults its routing table and sees this packet is intended for a remote host that must go through a VPN.
  • The VPN server encrypts this reply packet, encapsulates it in a VPN packet and sends it out over the Internet. The inner encrypted packet has source address 192.168.1.10 and destination address 192.168.1.50. The outer VPN packet has source address 5.6.7.8 and destination address 1.2.3.4.
  • The remote host receives the packet. The VPN client unencapsulates the inner packet decrypts it and passes it to the appropriate software at upper layers.

How to Display Recent Posts in WordPress

If you want that reader must stay up to maximum time on your website/blog then provide content as per their choice.

Earlier, to decrease the “bounce rate” of the blog I have written an article on “How to Display Related Posts in WordPress without Plugin” and now if the reader wants some fresh & recent articles then Display Recent Posts in WordPress.

Mostly, we Display Recent Posts in WordPress on the sidebar but there are other users who also want some change. In this article, we will show you the different ways to Display Recent Posts in WordPress.

Display Recent Posts in list format:

We know, the list format is mostly used in sidebars so if you want to display Recent Posts in a sidebar then put the following code in a template file (sidebar.php):

', ''); ?>

I have put the default no. posts at 10, if you want some less or more posts to display then change according to your requirement.

Display Recent Posts with Summary:

To give a small overview of the post to the reader, some people display Recent Posts with a title and a short description. For them, I have found two ways to display Recent Posts.

The First Way:

  • have_posts()) : $the_query -> the_post(); ?>
  • ”>

If you put the above code in a template file (sidebar.php) then you have to specify a short description of the post. So, you have to rewrite the excerpt as per the word limit.

So, here is the second way to display Recent Posts in WordPress. First, you have to download this Limit Post plugin and activate it. Once the plugin is activated then paste the following code in your theme files where you want to display Recent Posts.

  • have_posts()) : $the_query -> the_post(); ?>
  • ”>

Here I have put the description limit as 250 you can change according to your blog.

Display Recent Posts with Full Content:

If you want to display Recent Posts with Full Content then place the following code in your theme files:

  • have_posts()) : $the_query -> the_post(); ?>
  • ”>

Here also you can change the no. of posts.

I hope now you can Display Recent Posts in WordPress blog easily. If you face any difficulty in placing code then connect with via the comments section below.

How To Use Netflix?

Netflix service is very convenient to use. All you have to do is to subscribe to Netflix, and you can enjoy video-streaming right after the subscription. The best part of Netflix subscription is it offers the free trial.

You can use Netflix by providing your billing information. Once your free subscription is over, Netflix starts charging you as per their plans.

How to cancel Netflix?

Though it offers free trial base service it starts charging you right after the trial period is over. If you like the services and want to continue with Netflix, no worries, let is be the way it is.

But, if you are not so happy with the services and want to quit Netflix, you have to cancel Netflix account.

How To Cancel a Netflix Account?

Now, you might be wondering how do I cancel Netflix? Or does Netflix cancel account? If this is so, don't bother yourself much. I'm here to solve your queries.

As I said above, Netflix is easy to deal with service. You can cancel Netflix subscription anytime and can re-subscribe to it without any hassle. Let's go with the step by step guide.

#1. To cancel your Netflix account, first, you need to log into your Netflix account or click here and enter your credentials.

#2. You can see your name along with your small-sized picture on the top right corner of the page. Hover your cursor there.

#3. A drop-down menu with a handful of options will appear. One of these options is Your Account. Click on that. See the above screenshot.

#4. Once you click on that, a new window will open up. There, in the My Account page, you can see all your membership and billing detail. Click on CANCEL MEMBERSHIP.

#5. Now, you need to confirm your cancellation by clicking on the Finish Cancellation button. But, before you do that, Netflix would provide you with the information like

  • When your current billing expires.
  • How long Netflix will save your viewing preferences
  • Notify you that if you decide to restart your membership in the future, the price for services may increase.

If you are sure about cancelling the subscription, click Finish Cancellation button and you are done. If you are wondering what ‘cancel my Netflix account will disallow me for the future subscription' you are very wrong. You can re-subscribe Netflix any moment you decide to.

All you need to do is log in again into your Netflix account and subscribe it.

If you have decided to cancel your Netflix account before the completion of the subscription month(for which you have already paid), don't worry, you can still use Netflix till your month is up.

But, make sure you return all your CDs you have been sent to your home by Netflix, else you'll be charged for them.

Moreover, Netflix also keeps a record of your viewing preferences for the next 10 months of your cancellation. So, if you re-subscribe them within that span of time, you'll be presented with all the shows and videos you left off and can continue watching them.

Hope all your doubts regarding how to cancel Netflix account is clear now. From now on, you don't have to be dependent on anyone asking how do you cancel Netflix or anything related to the streaming service!
